As beautiful as they are intriguing, Cig Harvey’s self-portraits are truly one-of-a-kind. Named PDN’s “Emerging 30″ Photographers in 2005 and a “Rising Star” in 2004, Harvey creates conceptual images of herself that might inspire you to turn the camera on yourself. She started shooting self-portraits because she had no money for models. Now, when she shoots personal shots, she still works alone. As she says, “I love being able to come up with a concept, set my camera up and run into the picture.”
